Carien Groenewald

Carien is passionate about Education and the holistic development of both teachers and students. She has 13 years of experience in teaching in Special Needs, Remedial and Mainstream schools and being part of mentoring and training programs across South Africa.
After attending her first Kagan training in 2018 she’s been unable to teach without it.
Carien became a certified Kagan trainer in 2022. She’s recently taken over as the Director of Kagan South-Africa and she’s looking forward to helping build a HUGE Kagan community in South Africa and worldwide.
Lilian Southey

Lilian has been involved with Education for 12 years, the last 9 being in the classroom. It was attending a Kagan workshop in 2014 that sparked a new passion to teach in the classroom. She has a love of many subjects, having taught Maths and Drama, her current focus has been establishing the Information Technology Department at St Mary’s Waverley.
This has successfully grown to include Grade 10 – 12, with increased students taking the subject. Lilian values the diversity in applying Cooperative Learning. She became a certified Kagan trainer in 2018. She is continuously awed by how effective Kagan structures are for increased engagement and enjoyment of learning.
Wilfred Reynolds

Wilfred has 19 years of experience in education and training. In recent years his focus has been on leading workshops for Leadership Development.
Exposure to the use of Kagan Structures has been an eye-opener, for both in the classroom and adult business settings.
Wilfred was the first person in South Africa to be certified in the training of Kagan Cooperative Learning, in 2015. He has led many workshops in all the major centers.
